The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually proceeding.
